It’s confirmed. The Haze demo does exist. The latest PlayStation Store update says so, at least. According to the announcement, the demo lets you play the beginning of the Haze campaign in single player or coop mode. Be ready to put your download in the background because the demo is a hefty 1.43GB.

According to CVG, Sony will launch a Haze demo on PSN later today. The big question: is this four-player coop demo for real? I’ve finally downloaded and played the Condemned 2: Bloodshot demo from PSN. I also queued up the Turok demo since I’ve never tried it either. By the time I’ve blown through the Condemned 2 demo, the Turok download was still stuck at 37% and it was already growing dark.

I’ve raved about The Darkness long enough. While the Starbreeze-developed FPS has an excellent story mode, its multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired. I can’t speak for Xbox Live since I don’t own a 360, but I can truly say that The Darkness is a ghost town at PSN.

The multiplayer demo for the PlayStation 3 version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will appear on the U.S. PlayStation Network store today. This multiplayer demo features a single multiplayer map (titled Pirate Fortress) and support for only 8 players (the full game will support up to 16 players).
