GameSpot has a new detailed preview for Resistance 2, and it provides more particulars on the game’s class-based gameplay and competitive multiplayer. Indeed, this year’s holiday season is shaping up to be a tough period for gamers’ wallets because of the sheer number of outstanding games available.
If Resistance 2 were released on any other period […]

Video gaming site GameSpot, whose reputation was recently tarnished because of Gerstmanngate, actually had the gall to hand out two perfect scores in a span of weeks. First was for Grand Theft Auto IV, which was released last April 29, and the second was for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which came […]

I do know Grand Theft Auto IV is fantastic, despite the fact that I’ve never played it, and that the only time I’ve seen it in action is when I watch gameplay videos. I never expected it to be THAT fantastic. Even GameSpot, who’s been awfully stingy with its reviews post-Gerstmanngate, has given the game […]

There’s a new “unofficial” patch for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. According to GameSpot, version 4.8 includes “gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and more.” This update requires the v1.2 patch. Strangely, there’s no documentation as to what problems this update addresses.

Don’t believe everything you read in the internet, even if they came from so-called reputable game websites like GameSpot, GameSpy, IGN, or Eurogamer. The reviews they’re churning aren’t always as “spot-on” as people say they are.
Case in point: The previously-released reviews for Gears of War’s PC version.
I took the time to read all […]

Here’s a short interview about Gears of War for the PC with Cliffy B. Yes, the game brings tears to my eyes when it came out last year. Today, I cry a river because Epic has finally given us PC gamers real love.
The best part? You won’t need a PC built for Crysis to play […]

The Forge map editor lets you concoct weird maps and upload them.
Über-customization in multiplayer that’s even better than the one in Halo 2.
New toys like the bubble shield and gravity hammer.
“Halo Nights.”
Halo 3 isn’t a launch title, but it sold really well.
The ending didn’t suck.

There’s another FPS coming to town, and what better venue to show off the latest trailer than the 2007 Leipzig Games Convention in Germany? The game: Operation Flashpoint 2. It’s not exactly new since it’s a sequel, and it was also announced four years ago, but you know what I mean.
If you haven’t heard of […]
