You may have heard this one before: Xbox 360 gamepad users get an unfair advantage in Halo 2 for the PC, thanks to auto-aim. Jeff Gerstmann told us all about it when he was still at GameSpot, but I’ve never seen it for myself since I don’t use Windows Vista—the only operating system that can […]

Speaking of Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat, I’ve again finished its single player campaign and remembered that its’ ending is similar to Resistance: Fall of Man–it’s as abrupt and unsatisfying.
Perhaps it should be made clear to developers that credits aren’t part of a game’s ending.

I’ve finally gotten around to finishing Resistance: Fall of Man, thanks to the latest FragFX firmware. Buttons no longer bleed into each other so the shooting doesn’t devolve into an exercise in frustration. There’s much to be desired about the game’s ending, though.
The ending is made up of a short narrative, a rather long list […]

There are griefers, and there are Metal Gear Online griefers. The run-of-the-mill griefers do what they do because it’s actually rather fun in a sick, zit-popping, puppy-kicking kind of way. MGO griefers, on the other hand, are a new breed of dolts.

I’m terrible at shooters when using two analog sticks. This is why I resort to using the FragFX, a special PlayStation 3 controller that lets me play console FPSes with mouse-like precision. In theory, it’s supposed to be great. Application however, is another story.
My FragFX never really gave me that PC shooter feel. Granted that […]

ScrewAttack came out with its own list of “top 10 FPS of all time.” Off the bat, let me tell you that this is extremely difficult to put together. There are many terrific FPSes out there, so limiting it to a mere 10 is no easy task. Frankly, I think it’s actually quite […]

Using the FragFX on shooters is great. It gives the player PC-like controls and provide pinpoint accuracy when shooting. Given its benefits, I’ve decided to try playing Grand Theft Auto IV using the FragFX. What could go wrong? GTA IV requires a lot of shooting, so the optimist in me was stoked.
Let me tell you, […]

If you’re as cheap as I am, then you’re probably holding off on that PC upgrade for years. A couple of months ago, I probably would’ve said that despite the age of my current rig, it has yet to disappoint. While it can still manage to run Mass Effect, I noticed that I can only […]

I’ve always hated the tradeoff of using motorcycles versus cars in Grand Theft Auto games primarily because I can’t shoot from inside a car, and that chasing someone in high speeds while riding motorcycles is bad for your health. It was a vicious circle that made GTA more difficult than enjoyable.
GTA IV seems to have […]

GameTrailers has finally given its two-cents’ worth on Haze, a PS3-exclusive shooter that hasn’t been doing very well in the reviews department. Among the verdicts you’ll see, this video is perhaps one of the more grounded.

You’ll probably hate me for posting this, but the following promotion video for Haze is perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen. The acting is terrible, the script is tasteless, and the supposed jokes are not funny.
