Collector’s edition for Fallout 3 announced

Fallout fans are a critical lot, but you can’t blame them. Despite developer Bethesda Softworks’s pedigree in making awe-inspiring RPGs, there are still fans that remain on the fence when it comes to Fallout 3. Can you imagine turning a beloved isometric-view RPG into an FPS? I still can’t either.
When news of a collector’s edition for Fallout 3 came out, the fan in me was jolted wide awake.
Bethesda said that it will release the collector’s edition for the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. The limited collector’s edition is available for pre-order through participating retailers.
The package is presented in a metal Vault-Tec lunch box that comes with the game (obviously), a 5” Vault-Tec Vault Boy Bobblehead, “The Art of Fallout 3” hardcover book, and “The Making of Fallout 3” DVD.
Is the collector’s edition worth the extra dough? Despite being a grumpy Fallout fan, I can’t really say, at least until the game comes out and I get to try it myself. By that time, the collector’s edition may have already sold out. Or maybe not, since we Fallout fans are a critical lot.
