Here’s great news, courtesy of Spencer at Siliconera. Metal Gear Solid 4 would be released simultaneously worldwide on June 12. “But Mike, we already know that,” you say.
Think again. News sources (like GameSpot) merely announced that the game is coming in mid-June, but thanks to Siliconera, we now know that Konami is planning a simultaneous […]

If there’s one thing that’s disappointing in Call of Duty 4 (aside from its short single-player mode’s length), it’s the lack of destructible environments. You won’t have that problem in Battlefield: Bad Company because from the looks of things, you can shoot holes on ANY structure.

Yeah, I know that the game is fantastic. If you look at every game Website or blog out there, you’ll see that majority of the ratings garnered by Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat is at the 90% neighborhood—and for good reason.
Despite the game’s excellence, I remain reluctant to play its console versions. Why? Because […]

Nobody wants to be stuck in the slammer, but when your name is Richard B. Riddick, it’s not really a problem. You won’t be packing with big guns here, not during the early parts at least. Everyone’s favorite intergalactic fugitive has to make do with fists, shivs, and screwdrivers to get the job done.As the […]

You may have noticed in my previous post that I have a shortcut to The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay on my desktop. If you’re a regular here, then you probably know that Vin Diesel’s movie-to-game effort is my most-coveted FPS.I was hankering after that game for so long that I just had […]

I believe that viewing one’s desktop gives us a peek at one’s personality. How? It’s similar to that TV show I was watching where two people set out to examine a mystery person’s house and belongings, then proceeds to deducing facts about said mystery person.
Well, seeing one’s desktop won’t necessarily glean the individual’s darkest secrets […]

There’s a new “unofficial” patch for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. According to GameSpot, version 4.8 includes “gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and more.” This update requires the v1.2 patch. Strangely, there’s no documentation as to what problems this update addresses.
After doing a little bit of digging, I learned at Planet Vampire’s forums that version 4.8 […]

Remember the FragFX? It’s that awesome PS3 peripheral I was raving about. Yes, with such a gadget, playing console FPSes would be a cinch because the controls would be similar to the PC’s keyboard and mouse combo. Yes, no more lame analog-stick aiming. What if I told you that you can do the setup yourself? Be […]

You know what’s cooler than your usual Unreal Tournament 3 fragging? Playing UT3 with the new Lego mod, that’s what. But wait! Before you start downloading the mod (you can get it here), know that it’s for the PS3 version only. If your PC or 360 is hurting for a new mod, sorry.

Look what I stumbled into today. Yes, that’s right. It’s the trailer for Gears of War 2. Good old Marcus is back, straight from the Game Developers Conference.

I’m sure you’re no stranger to GTA games, especially the latest ones that made its way into the third dimension. If you’re a purist like me, then you probably hate the console versions’ shooting mechanics. Yes, it uses auto-aim, and it’s a sellout. It looks like part IV would change the way we play GTA. Sure, […]
