Turok gives you the power of choice
We’ve heard this before. Ion Storm said you can finish Invisible War without firing a single shot. Does Turok really give you the choice between going guns-a-blazing or stealth gameplay? The video you’re about to watch says Turok does.
It’s hard to judge if the choice is indeed present in Turok, but the game does show promise. The stealth kills make the game interesting, but it’s the dinosaurs that mix things up between you and the armed goons you’re fighting.
What keeps me grounded about this game is its developer Propaganda Games. Turok is the studio’s first foray, so my expectations aren’t that high. The Propaganda team is composed of former EA Canada employees whose experience includes Def Jam Vendetta and NBA Street.
Good games, but they’re not FPS.
Turok will also be making its way to the PC next year, so getting my hands on this game during that time is possible—unless I decide to get a PS3 before MGS4 comes out.

5 opinions for Turok gives you the power of choice

Oh, that single shot thing for Invisible War is true. You play the game for 10 minutes, realize how terrible it is, then you use the game disc for skeet shooting. If you’re good, you beat that game in one shot. Literally.
The original Deus Ex was fantastic. Invisible War sucked big-time.
Here’s hoping Turok doesn’t suck big-time!

“Stealthily” killing dinosaurs doesn’t sound like much fun.

I liked majority of Deus Ex, but the total absence of AI annoyed me. Funny part was that this issue is still alive in Invisible War.
I just hope Turok’s enemies would show more smarts. Why can’t game AIs be more like F.E.A.R.’s
@Bird Man
I think doing silent kills against Raptors should be interesting, especially with the knife. If I can dish out a stealth kill against a T-Rex, that would be corny. :P

But remember, as long as you don’t move, you can stealth-kill the T-Rex. Its visual acuity is based on movement!
Standing still always lends itself to stealth kills on a moving target.

But I can’t imagine killing a huge T-Rex with a standard-sized hunting knife. If Turok were to use a larger blade, that would make more sense.
Sure, we can argue that given the right spot, the hunter can kill large beasts, but this is a fricking huge dinosaur with thick skin. You’re going to have to stab it with something more substantial to do any significant damage.
