You don’t know Jericho: Here’s the cap’n
Clive Barker’s Jericho is getting awfully close to hitting store shelves. Want to know who’s leading the special ops team? Why it’s the Captain of course. His name is Devin Ross, and he’s got pretty useful paranormal powers. Enjoy the clip.
Something tells me this possession is Clive Barker’s way of justifying your ability to control multiple characters in his new FPS. They could have just opted of letting you control your teammates without it. Then again, there might be some valid explanation that could translate into interesting gameplay.
Or not. Let’s wait for the game, shall we?

I really wanted to buy this game for the 360…and then I played the demo.
Gameplay and graphics weren’t awful, but very average. Games like Gears of War and BioShock have really raised the bar for game quality and Jericho doesn’t seem to pass muster.
Even the “scariness” factor was pretty mild, although I’ll admit that the demo takes place somewhere in the middle of the game. However, when the game is squad-based and each squad member has special powers, it’s very hard to make the end-user fear turning the next corner.
Gears of War graphics blow Jericho’s out of the water, BioShock’s gameplay puts Jericho’s to shame, and Condemned makes Jericho’s jump-scares seem pretty lame in comparison.
I’ll still play Jericho, but I’ll wait to get it cheap from eBay or EB Games.

Yikes. I had high hopes for this game. Well, if hype is any indication of sales, Jericho might do better than Undying in the charts.
Not that it’s any consolation to any of us. If this were the case, then it’s just Clive and his publisher smiling.
