S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gets a prequel but still suffers from patch support
Yes, you read right. The same game whose German community is on strike because of a lack of patch support is coming up with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, a prequel to the GSC-developed shooter, and we’ve got proof with the trailer below:
Could this be the reason the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. lacks support?
Way to go THQ. Since patches don’t bring in the cash, might as well forget supporting the old game you’re still accountable for and try to rip off more people by making a prequel.

Hey, Author.
THQ isn’t making this game. Do your research first before you go posting stuff. This is exactly why dinky game blog sites suck

Hey, sigh.
Do read more about the article and its links first before you go commenting stuff. THQ is indeed the publisher of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. while GSC Game World is the developer.
One thing you should know is that while it’s the developer that makes the game, the publisher is the one that call the shots.
Apparently, the German community is blaming THQ (didn’t you read the link?) for not being able to arrange a working and optimal patch policy.
Since THQ controls the shots, they say what the developer does because they hold the money. Seems like THQ doesn’t want to allocate any resources for patching, and is instead putting all its eggs on the sequel.
But you knew that, didn’t you?
But if you did know that, then why your poor excuse at wit in the comment above?
