Clive Barker’s new shooter is teh r0xx0r
Welcome back, Clive! We know you’re still hurting when The Undying didn’t do very well in sales, but that’s okay. What matters is that your game rocked, and we, the few with really good tastes, are aching for another Barker classic.
When Jericho was announced, we were ecstatic. When a new gameplay trailer was released, we broke out the alcoholic beer. Who drinks non-alcoholic beer anyway?
As always, the offbeat enemies are present in Clive Barker’s Jericho. Will the game be any good? We sure hope so. Watch out for its release this Fall, and for goodness’ sake, buy it this time.

I’ve been waiting for this one to come out. Should be scary as hell.
It’ll probably be the third game I pick up this fall, behind BioShock and GTA IV.

You ever tried Undying? Pretty scary too, that. Hmm. Gives me an inkling to install that old game.

X-Play rated Undying as one of the best horror games to have ever graced the glowing screen, but I never gave it a shot.
When I was into PC gaming, I ran more with the Baldur’s Gate and Diablo crowd. I’ve become a lot braver lately since I have a wife and kid close at hand while I’m playing games like Condemned and, in the fall, Jericho.

Really? Wow. Shame that the game never made it big in sales, because if it did, there might have been an Undying in consoles.
You forgot Bioshock. Keep your family close because I expect that game to be as creepy/scary as System Shock 2. Maybe even worse. We’ll find out sometime next month. ;)

I’ll tell you - I recently got back into playing online poker. However, when BioShock hits shelves, I’m gonna play that game like a crazy person. Scary or not, I’m gonna love every minute of it.
I never played System Shock 2, but I’ll pick up some adult diapers just in case…

Ditto on Bioshock. I just hope my rig can handle it. This 33.3% failure rate for Xbox 360s is stopping me from getting my own, so I’m all PC for now.
Try System Shock 2, mate. It may have been made in 1999, but it still kicks a lot of rear end for an old game. It’s just a bit tricky to run in Windows XP and Vista.

I hear about this 33% failure rate, but I don’t know anyone who’s had a problem. Throw in MS’s 3-year warranty and it’s worth giving it a try. $400 buys you one video card or the Xbox 360 with BioShock…
That’s gotta be a little tempting…

The warranty isn’t really good where I come from. Microsoft has an office in the Philippines, but from what I hear, they ship units someplace else because they don’t service the 360s here.
That means it would have to go abroad, and this would take months (or even a year). A friend of mine had a similar problem with his old PlayStation, and it took Sony something like 6-8 months to return his unit.
Ergo, I could only do this several times in a span of three years. I even heard of 360s that had to be replaced 11 times. Sigh.
The 360 may have the best games to date, but the console’s stability is a bit too funky for now, methinks. It would be practical for me to play Bioshock and Jericho for the PC instead.

Yikes! Well, if that’s the case, then PC is best.

For me at least. :) I hope the other readers won’t be deterred in getting Jericho though! No, Clive isn’t giving me a cut to advertise his game. I’m just a big fan, and I’m sure his new shooter is going to be as good as Undying is AT THE VERY LEAST.
Or even better. Let’s see!
