America’s Army to be deployed in arcades
Chalk one up for the U.S. Army as they get a new recruiting tool. Global VR, a manufacturer of arcade machines, announced that it will launch a coin-operated America’s Army.
According to Global VR, the game’s marksmanship exercises are entirely target shooting challenges. Since the Army and Global VR won’t be able to control who plays their machines, this design decision makes sense. Then again, it also means the game is just one virtual Army training exercise.
That’s correct: you pay them to entice you to join.
The arcade version is designed for one or two players and consists of a series of eight training mini-games. Each game is designed with a dynamic difficulty system.
