Modding Quake Wars

So you’re a modder and you know the guys at Splash Damage are gonna be releasing modding tools and kits and what not. Awesome right? Couldn’t get any better? Well..just maybe.

They’ve opened up a forum to allow you to post your ideas and suggestions for things that would make modding easier for the community.

we have a good idea of what you guys need from us; we’re looking for more leftfield suggestions that will make your lives easier so you can focus on the making of stuff.

Here’s your chance gentlemen and ladies. Be heard. And while they make no promises to actually make do on any of the suggestions the fact that they’ve done this open suggestion thing is a great start to getting you folks the things you need to make the Quake Wars community solid and long lasting. They know what keeps a game going and they’re being smart by helping you guys out. This is what I like to see from developers. None of this make a game, patch it a couple of times and then 6 months later we’ve got a “sequel” that’s more an expansion pack than actual full game. Epic knows about this building a community strategy too. Hopefully the other big names will catch on.
