Round up
So there’s been a myriad of things happening lately.
FEAR Extraction Point was released and shipped. I went to the local Best Buy at lunch today to pick it up. They did not have it. There was much rage and violence. Each employee had a copy of Barbie’s Funland Adventure inserted into their bodies. Good thing they had plenty of THOSE to go around. Bastards.
Also the regular FEAR for your 360 owners is shipping at the end of the month. Maybe now you can see what all the hype was about.
What else.. OH GRAW 2 development was announced for 2007 along with a few other news tidbits. But we don’t care about those.
BF2142 was released. Saw tons of those at Best Buy. Damn things had their own display stand. I made sure to flip the entire section off as I walked by. Even people at work who normally liked BF2 are slightly dissappointed this go around. Nothing like paying $60 for a “new” game based off an old engine with only a few minor tweaks. I think the best description I’ve heard for it is that BF2142 feels like a very good mod for BF2. Yup. You guys paid $60 for a half-assed “new” game. That’s what you get for continuing to pay for shitty games and even lousier support. Game companies who realize you’re all morons that can be exploited, who will complain but still buy the game. The only people you hurt are yourselves. No, wait that’s wrong. You hurt all gamers everywhere. Because we’re all affected by this.
Moving on, friend gave me this link today. It’s a shooter. It’s not First Person. It’s a top down view. You’re a little ball, you roll around you shoot other little balls (players) and they shoot you back. There’s guns and grenades. It’s kinda fun. Babo Violent 2 is the game. The name alone inspires confidence. And then they have a metal soundtrack from Lamb of God playing in the background and I’m sold. Sorta. I mean, it’s free. So there’s no actual selling per se. It’s only 8mbs. Go try it out!
