Farcry on a Wii
Following yesterday’s news of Nintendo looking to put M-rated games on their newest console comes the confirmation of Farcry flexing it’s muscles (and yours) on the Wii.
This just helps to reinforce that the console will no longer be the “kiddie” platform it’s predcessors have been. Mario may have to trade in the koopa shells for some pistol rounds. Can’t say I’m overly fond of shooters on consoles but that may change as Nintendo paves the way with their new controller and ninja apparatus (nunchuk). Because you can’t get much cooler than ninjas. If they had a pirate component it’d be over. Case closed, sealed and shut. Nintendo would be the winner.
Of course this brings to mind the various things that Nintendo could do to bring about a pirate revolution to the Wii. Such as:
-
Solar Sail: Allows you to power your Wii with the glow of the sun. (Shaped in the nautical fashion)
The Peg: Get your feet into the action as well! Use it to accelerate in racing games or even a jump button for those M-rated FPS titles(wood grain in color)
Captain’s Hat: New head peripheral that you can wear so the game will track your head movements! No longer do you need to swing your arm back and forth to turn. Just look left or right!!
Treasure Box: Too many Wii games cluttering your shelf? Put them in the whimsical styled box shaped like a pirate’s treasure chest. No more games getting lost or stepped on!
Long John Silver: That’s right! Your very own pirate! He says “Arr” on command and comes standardly equipped with 4 authentic pirate sea chanty’s! Great for those Wii parties!
I know you guys are just brimming with creative juices. (Among other things) Any other pirate inspired peripheral ideas? (For a console)
