SiN Gameplay Movie
As the release date draws nearer we’re getting more and more stuff to “tantalize” us or make us drool or what have you. As drool worthy as the HL2 engine was when it first came out, watching a new game made entirely in that engine is not as impressive. So they give us this “car action” scene. Which, is to say, not so much car. It looks like it could have been cool. But 1 minute and some-odd seconds weren’t just quite enough to get me excited about it.
Though I will admit watching the car take a direct hit from a rocket with only a quiet “Ow” as a result was enjoyable. But more in the fact that I was laughing and found myself hoping that the girl would get shot or something. Alas, she was still alive at the end of the clip and I was still chuckling at how it would have been much more funny if she had come flying over the wall only to be blown sky high as your rescue ended up a smoldering wreckage of burnt metal and charred flesh.
Sadly, I still think I’ll play the first episode just to see what it’s like. I figure $20 isn’t so bad. If I don’t like it, I don’t have to buy anymore episodes. If I do like it then I guess they’ll have earned my money and I’ll be forced to pay almost $180 dollars in episodic content.
