Half-Life 2 Survivor

That’s right fans! CBS is having a new Survivor series staring real-life actors portraying the cast of Half-Life 2. All your favorites will be there. The lovely Alyx Vance, her father Eli, the evil Doctor Breen, our lovable Barney, Judith Mossman, even a possible appearance by the G-man, and of course, our heroic Dr. Gordon Freeman. Watch as they battle it out on an island in the Pacific as they take the video game fight to the real world.

Hahahahahahah. I’m sorry. I couldn’t resist.

A co-worker had sent me a link on this once before and I kinda forgot about it. Arcades in Japan are now stocking up with an HL2 Deathmatch type game (I can’t read Japanese sorry) for general use. As you can see it’s basically an arcade sit down machine with controls that lets you commence the slaughter FPS style. That’s a new move from what I’ve seen. I don’t visit the arcades much but taking a full blown FPS PC game and making it arcade worthy has got to be a first. Frankly? It looks damn cool! I would love to sit down and try out my m4d sk1llz on one of these machines. Depending on the success of this, I wonder how long before we see something like this in the states.
